About Us

The University of Lagos Press and Bookshop, created as mutually independent companies over four decades ago, has evolved over the years. The Press and Bookshop were established to cater to academic and non-academic staff of the university community with the aim of promoting scholarship.

An understanding of the dynamic and competitive nature of book publishing and retailing led to a decision that the separate outfits should be merged with an experienced and excellence-driven manager at the helms of affairs. The Manager is charged with the enviable task of ensuring that the aim of establishment is further refined and the goals, surpassed.
